South Harting is a village in the Chichester district of West Sussex, England. It lies within the civil parish of Harting. The village sits on the B2146 Road 4 miles (6.4km) southeast of Petersfield, Hampshire.
The village of South Harting has two churches, one Anglican and one Congregational. The village also has a school, St Mary & St Paul First School, which currently takes children from four to ten years old. From 2009, it will accept children up to 11 years old. Alongside the school is the village hall from which a pre-school group operates.
The National Trust property Uppark sits high on the South Downs 1 mile (1.6km) south of the village on the B2146.
