South Gippsland Shire is a Local Government Area in Victoria, Australia. It is located in the south-eastern part of the state. It includes the towns of Leongatha (administrative centre), Korumburra, Foster, Poowong and Mirboo North. It has an area of 3,305 square kilometres. In 2006 it had a population of 25,737.
It was formed in 1994 from the merger of the Shire of Mirboo, Shire of South Gippsland, and parts of the Shire of Korumburra and Shire of Woorayl.
