South Forsyth Middle School is a middle school in Cumming, Georgia. 995 students attend the middle school which at one time emptied into South Forsyth High School;[1] however, it has since been relocated to accommodate the increase in student population. South has a football field and earned two accountability awards from the state of Georgia; Bronze For Highest Percentage of Students Meeting and Exceeding Standards[2], and Platinum for Greatest Gains.[3] They have an Academic Bowl team that took runner-up in the district competition.
There are five halls; the entrance, the connection hall, the eighth grade hall, the seventh grade hall, and the sixth grade hall. There are twelve classrooms in each grade halls, and in the connection hall, there is a indoor gym and seven classrooms.
The school mascot is the war eagles and the spirit colors are blue and white.
