South Bank Station is a railway station in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is part of the QR Citytrain network.
It is located in Zone 1 of the TransLink integrated public transport system.
The station was formely named Vulture Street, after the facing street. The new, somewhat confusing, name is a reference to its proximity to the South Bank Parklands. The station provides access to the parklands, as well as cinemas, and the Grey Street retail and dining precinct. It runs parallel to South Bank Busway Station on the South-East Busway.
The station will be redeveloped and an office and apartment block will be built over it, in similar fashion to Toowong, Milton, Central and Brunswick Street stations, and stations such as Hurstville and Kogarah in Sydney, or Box Hill in Melbourne.
