From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

South Bank is part of the Brisbane suburb of South Brisbane and is located on the south bank area of the Brisbane River.

South Bank is possibly best known for its scenic aspects which were established on the former site of World Expo 88), as well as the location of the Queensland Cultural Centre (which contains the Queensland Museum, the Queensland Art Gallery, the State Library of Queensland and the Queensland Performing Arts Centre). The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre is also in the area, as are the Queensland Conservatorium and the Queensland College of Art (both of which are campuses of Griffith University).

Public transport is conveniently located, with Brisbane Translink's Ferry, Bus and Train services all being readily available.
