The South Australian Derby is an Australian Group 1 thoroughbred horse race for three year olds, at set weights, held at Morphettville Racecourse in Adelaide.
It is run each year in April. Before 2006 it was held in May. The race is contested over 2500 metres.

1860 - 1971 held over 12 furlongs (approx 2400m).
1972, 1978, 1979 & 1986 - 2000 held over 2400m.
1973 - 1977, 1981 - 1985 & 2001 - present held over 2500m.
1980 held over 2600m.
