South Armagh (Northern Ireland Parliament constituency)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

South Armagh was a constituency which existed in elections for the Parliament of Northern Ireland (Stormont).

As its name suggests, it was the most southerly of the four constituencies in County Armagh. It had a Catholic/nationalist majority, the Unionists usually did not bother contesting it, and it was sometimes a battleground between different elements in the Catholic/nationalist community.
