The South African Ground Squirrel (Xerus inauris) is a species of rodent in the Sciuridae family. It is found in Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitats are dry savanna and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland.
