[edit] About the Company

SouthPeak is based out of Midlothian, Virginia, with offices also in Grapevine, Texas and London, England.[1] After being a private company for more than ten years, SouthPeak Interactive is in the process of going public through a merger with Global Services Partners Acquisition Corporation (GSPAC).[2] Southpeak made their publishing foray into the "next-generation" console market with the game Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia, originally developed by Artificial Studios on the Xbox 360 and Windows. They have since had good success with later "next-gen" title Two Worlds and are subsequently publishing a few other high-end console games in development such as Edge of Twilight and X-Blades.

Due to their London office as well as a strong presence in Europe, SouthPeak has also published a number of games in Europe that were originally published in the US by other companies. This includes games like ATV Offroad Fury 3 for the PSP.[3][4] Their success in Europe helped bring them to the foreground of the US market and led them to pursue original IPs.

With continued success of their newer console and PC games, SouthPeak has also published a few titles for portable systems (Nintendo DS & PSP, etc.) and has a few more in development. On top of the full retail portable and console games, Southpeak is also currently working on releasing games on the Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA). Currently, the only game scheduled for release on the XBLA is the racing game Things on Wheels developed by Load Inc., which is the sequel to Load Inc's other XBLA racing game Mad Tracks.[5]
