The SoundSoap family of noise reduction tools consists of a standard version and professional version. While both are designed to eliminate the same types of unwanted background noise (clicks, crackles, pops, hum, rumble, and broadband noise) from digital media files, they differ in ease of use, fine-tuning of settings, workflow, and price. SoundSoap has made audio restoration practical for the typical computer user, by simplifying the tools and process and making them affordable.

These products are popular with cassette and vinyl collectors who are digitizing their analog collections for playback on a computer or portable media player, such as an iPod. Musicians, videographers, and podcasters also make up a large portion of the SoundSoap user base. For these users, SoundSoap is used for removing background noise picked up through microphones, faulty cables, and other equipment during performances and shoots.

SoundSoap is very easy-to-use noise reduction/audio restoration software. It offers “one-click” noise reduction, and may also be manually fine-tuned for optimal results. SoundSoap includes Audio Units, RTAS/AudioSuite, and VST plug-in formats, as well as a stand-alone edition – and runs on Mac OS X and Windows XP computer systems.

SoundSoap Pro was designed around the idea of streamlining the workflow of complex noise reduction tasks. Its user interface offers dozens of knobs, sliders, buttons, and displays – while its default settings make it very easy to quickly achieve good noise reduction results. In the case of more challenging noise problems, the many controls can be fine-tuned to achieve the best possible results. SoundSoap Pro includes Audio Units, RTAS/AudioSuite, and VST plug-in formats, and runs on Mac OS X and Windows XP computer systems.
