[edit] Biography
Something of an urban 1990s version of the Jackson 5 crossed with Boyz II Men and Jodeci, the act has specialized in "hip-hop soul" numbers such as "Candy Rain" and "Every Little Thing I Do" (U.S. number 17 hit), both hit singles from their 1995 LP Candy Rain. Soul For Real was discovered by hip-hop pioneer and producer Heavy D. Recently on the group's MySpace it was announced that they are expecting to put out a new album sometime this year. The oldest Dalyrimple brother Chris a.k.a. Choc has been absent from the group's promotion of the album but it's confirmed by the rest of the group that he'll be back. Recently it was posted that people now can request their first single from the album "One Man Ft Jadakiss" with numbers to radio stations on their MySpace blog. More numbers will be added soon.
