Five years after Curtis Mayfield's box set People Get Ready: The Curtis Mayfield Story was released in the US, the UK came up with a more comprehensive collection entitled simply Soul Legacy. Unlike its predecessor, this set was not in chronological order, instead opting for thematic divisions (see track listing).
