Soul Converged Communications (ASX:SOT), trading as Soul, is an Australian telecommunications company based in Newcastle. Washington H. Soul Pattinson holds a 27.9% stake in the company. WIN Corporation owns 12%. Soul's main activities revolve around telecommunications, with business and home and small business divisions. By November 2004 it had acquired the assets of rival IP carrier Comindico. In April 2005 Soul bought a 42.9% stake in mobile phone company B Digital. In September 2006 Soul increased its stake in B Digital to 74.6% and made a full takeover offer.
In April 2008, SOT merged with Total Peripherals Group at a cost of $AU150M in cash and 230M shares (Approx $AU80M) with Mr David Teoh of TPG becoming the largest shareholder and Executive Chairman of the combined group.[1]
