Souderton Area School District

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Souderton Area School District covers an area of almost 50 square miles in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. By 2005, the population of the district had exceeded 410,000 making it almost impossible to move around in their High School. To overcome this problem, they gave their students senior privelage. The Souderton Area School District is made up of 3 secondary schools and 7 elementary schools. A new high school is being built on Lower Road and should be ready for students by September of 2009.

The district serves the municipalities of Souderton, Telford, Franconia, Lower Salford, Upper Salford, and Salford.

[edit] Awards

In 2005, the Souderton Area School District won the award for best mission statement (as seen above). In 2006 they came second after North Penn. In 2007 they didn't compete because they knew their slogan needed some revising. It is not currently known if they will choose to compete in 2008.
