Description	The Katy Tigers and the Southlake Carroll Dragons played Saturday, December 17, 2005 for the 2005 Texas 5-A Division 2 State Championship. Southlake won 34-20 at Texas Stadium, home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys. It was the sixth state football title for Carroll (Katy has four) and its third since 2002. They also became the National High School Champions in the National Prep Football Poll and the Student Sports Fab 50. They came in 2nd in the USA Today Super 25 Poll behind Lakeland, Florida.
