Sotira (Greek: Σωτήρα), also with the i accented is a Greek located 4 km north of the city of Trikala in the southcentral part of the Trikala Prefecture. Sotira had a population of 562 in 2001 for the settlement. Its residents are based in agriculture and other businesses.

After World War II and the Greek Civil War, the population steadily declined as residents moved to larger towns and cities and the richest countries in the world.

Electricity and automobiles arrived in the 1960s, it was linked with pavement in the late-20th century, television arrived in the 1980s. Internet and computers arrived in the late-1990s.

Sotira has a school, a lyceum (middle school), a gymnasium (secondary school) a few churches, banks, a post office and a square (plateia), its nearest and banks are in the outskirts of Trikala.
