[edit] Summary
Indonesian Food. picture taken by self (User:Merbabu)
This image is a photo of "Soto Ayam" (Chicken yellow soup) on Java, Indonesia. The satay on the left is "sate kerang" (shellfish satay). Yellow "balls" on the right of the black bottle is "perkedel kentang" (a kind of food made from crushed boiled potato, mixed with salt and pepper, and fried with egg coat). Beside "perkedel kentang" it is a kind of omelette, made from egg mixed with "daun bawang", green chilli and salt. Javanese people often call it "endhog dadhar" (fried egg). Soto is the yellow soup with chicken (sometimes served with meat, so if it served with meat it is called "Soto Daging" or meat soto). And the egg on the red bowl is called "telor pindang" (egg cooked with Pindang seasoning). "Telor pindang" usually cooked with its casing. If one want to eat, the casing opened. Some people make it half-cooked, cracked the casing (but not until the casing separated with the egg), and then cook it with the "pindang" seasoning. It will made a beautiful texture (like marble's texture) because the "pindang' seasoning which have dark colour, entered the egg's skin. [[Category:Food from Indonesia]
