Sophisticated Boom Boom is the debut album released by Dead or Alive in 1984. Containing mostly synth pop and disco elements, the record was a minor success in the UK, giving the band their first UK Top 40 single, a remake of KC & the Sunshine Band's "That's the Way (I Like It)". That song, with "Misty Circles", were hits on the U.S. Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. In 2007 the album was re-released with 7 bonus tracks.
