Sophia Witherspoon (born on July 6, 1969. She was a professional basketball player in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).

At the University of Florida, Witherspoon excelled for the Florida Gators. She graduated in 1991 and was selected 7th overall in the second round of the 1997 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty. She played a total of 7 seasons in the WNBA.[1]
