[edit] Mr Renz

German singer-songwriter Stefan Renz aka "Mr Renz" has posted an mp3 on his website ([1] under 26.07.2006) of a song "Ich habe keinen Eintrag bei Wikipedia" (I have no entry in Wikipedia / so I ask myself am I for real? / do I really exist? / or do I just make believe?). Copyright status is unknown, so probably not "free". --LA2 00:33, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

I found the song you're talking about. I'm just starting to learn German, so I'm having trouble with the lyrics and can't seem to find them anywhere. Do you know where I might find the lyrics to Mr Renz's song? Thanks. Professor Chaos 05:34, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

nich mal tausend treffer, was heißt das hier schon,

[edit] Bad Color Scheme

I changed the chart to be all black text on a white background. I stumbled on this article by chance, and couldn't read some of the list, because the colors are stupid. Sorry, but it's true. If you guys must have color, pick ones that a) aren't ugly, and b) aren't illegible. Professor Chaos 05:14, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] audio links

I know at least one these songs has an audio performance of it as an .ogg file. Perhaps we should add a column with links to these audio clips for those that are available. And more importantly, let's get some more audio clips made :). NoSeptember 19:47, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] We must have more people visit this page

I notice that the Wikipedia: Song Page has grown large. Shall we make this place larger and share these songs with the rest of the Wikipedia community by making it publicGreaterWikiholic 21:45, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Proposition

Hi! I am AlexHillan composer of "Wikipedia the Beautiful." I would like to propose that it becomes the official song. You may post comments on my talk page telling me what you think. I will contact Elf, composer of "Hotel Wikipedia" to get his opinion.

Thanks, AlexHillan 03:28, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

I've created Wikipedian Idiot, thus this might not be likely to be chosen as official, nevermind--Andersmusician $ 23:55, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Whatever people want is fine by me. I don't know by what process Hotel became the "official song" anyway. You might want to try to backtrack that and then set up a similar vote here with a link to the original discussion if you can find it. Elf | Talk 02:59, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
How would Wikipedian Guy be like if it was the theme song. Marlith T/C 04:13, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikadelphia

Meh, I don't really feel like posting it, but you could replace instances of "love" with "wiki"/"wiki-love", "city" with "wiki", and "Philadelphia" with "Wikipedia" in Neil Young's song "Philadelphia" and have yourself a pretty chill Wikipedia tune. heqs ·:. 06:39, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

How does a parody of American Pie sound to you? Marlith 03:47, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hey!

I just had a thought! I composed Another Article, based on a song from The Wall. What if we made a Wikified spoof of the Pink Floyd The Wall movie? Agreed? Answer here, not on my talkpage.--Editor510 (talk) 19:48, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
