I'm pretty sure that anon that voted on the State Route 1002 (Lehigh County, Pennsylvania) FAC is NE2. NE2 really wanted the article to renamed and I don't even think anons are allowed to vote on FACs. Reply at my talk. -- JA10 T · C 20:35, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Naoulo

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Naoulo, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. myselfalso 20:05, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] GAC backlog elimination drive

This form message is being sent to you either due to your membership with WikiProject Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. A new drive has been started requesting that all members review at least one article (or more, if you wish!) within the next two weeks at GAC to help in removing the large backlog. This message is being sent to all members, and even members who have been recently reviewing articles. There are almost 130 members in this project and about 180 articles that currently need to be reviewed. If each member helps to review just one or two articles, the majority of the backlog will be cleared. Since the potential amount of reviewers may significantly increase, please make sure to add :{{GAReview}} underneath the article you are reviewing to ensure that only one person is reviewing each article. Additionally, the GA criteria may have been modified since your last review, so look over the criteria again to help you to determine if a candidate is GA-worthy. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the GAC talk page. --Nehrams2020 00:56, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

  • Infoboxes are set up for the following counties: Sussex, Ocean, Mercer, Cumberland, Bergen, Middlesex, Atlantic, and Monmouth.
  • The following counties have a full set of shield SVGs: Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Sussex

[edit] Re:Redirect NHL Network

I redirected the NHL Network page b/c the Canadian NHL Network was on air first and that is the name of the channel and the US version is not on air and it is unsure if that network will ever go to air. And also when NHL Network was redirected to NHL Network (Canada), the article used for the US NHL Network was used as "NHL Network". The Canadian version was on air first and is the original channel and just b/c its American doesn'rt mean that it gets first dibs on the name, if any network uses the :NHL Network" name then its the Canadian channel, and the American channel should use "NHL Network (U.S.)" MusiMax 22:46, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Then why should the US get the disambig page for the article which was originally there and why I moved the articles back? Just because its american doesn't mean it gets an overriding right over other countires. MusiMax 23:58, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
I know there is an article for the US channel called "NHL Network (United States)". This is fine to me. But what I had an objection to was, when User:AlexRampaul first redirected all the pages, he changed the name of the Canadian article to "NHL Network (Canada)" and thne changed the name of the US channel to simply "NHL Network" which was formally used by the Canadian article. Then I redirected the pages back to the way they were being Canadian = "NHL Network" and US = "NHL Netwokr (U.S.)". And then u made ur changes which are what they are now currently titled.

My objection to all this was being that the American article was taking over the name of the Canadian article while the Canadian artile had to have (Canada) in brackets. I felt this was unfair for several reasons; 1. The US channel is not even up and running 2. the Canadian channel was on air first 2. and most importantly, I don't see it being fair that just because it's american, it gets first rights over the article names, to put it simpler, the Canadian article which used NHL Network as its title was being "downgraded" to having to put Canada in brackets while the American channel gets t take over the artile name to simply "NHL Network" without specifying that its American in the title. This happens alot on Wiklipedia and I don't think it's fair that just beacuse its american that this should happen. So I hope all of this has straightened this matter out and you understand where I was coming from with the redirecting in this matter. MusiMax 01:16, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

As well I'm not trying to violate assume good faith either, but I have to agree with you MusiMax 13:59, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for making a report at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators generally only block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you. Jmlk17 00:38, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] July 2007 GAC backlog elimination drive

A new elimination drive of the backlog at Wikipedia:Good article candidates will take place from the month of July through August 12, 2007. There are currently about 130 articles that need to be reviewed right now. If you are interested in helping with the drive, then please visit Wikipedia:Good article candidates backlog elimination drive and record the articles that you have reviewed. Awards will be given based on the number of reviews completed. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the drive's talk page. Please help to eradicate the backlog to cut down on the waiting time for articles to be reviewed.

You have received this message either due to your membership with WikiProject: Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. --Nehrams2020 03:28, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Revisions

When I started making the pages for the PA routes (im gonna try and get all the PA routes), I noticed on (WP:PASH)...

junction: Any major junctions - junctions with limited-access highways, Interstates and U.S. highways - along the route should be listed here. If more than one is listed, use a
to break the lines

I thought that ment that unless the PA route was a limited-access highway, it cant be listed in the junctions.

If what you had said is that all PA routes can be used, let me know. Ill revert the other edits you didnt catch where I did such, thanks :) Whammies Were Here (PYLrulz) 10:34, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Exit lists

There are two possibilities: rest stops and toll barriers are important, and thus we should include them, and the link doesn't belong, or they're not, and thus the link doesn't belong. The inclusion of these features, if we decide they're too minor to cover on Wikipedia, does not make the external link useful. --NE2 02:37, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

But that argument can be used for anything, like a site that lists the businesses at each exit or the potholes on the road. I will ask at Wikipedia talk:External links for another opinion. --NE2 02:45, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

Hmm... does this mean you support the deletion of WikiLove-related templates? Not that you're wrong, it's just that I hit this huge editorial wall and didn't know where to edit without making the whole article messier. I just found a way to help using WikiLove. But, as they had said, Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia, not a social networking site. Connell66 02:54, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Arbitration request for User:NE2

Good evening. An arbitration request has been opened for NE2. I have placed you as an involved party as you have recently been involved in NE2's past RFCs. You are therefore invited to take part in the discussion at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration#NE2. Thank you. —Imdanumber1 (talk contribs  email) 03:17, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Various state route stub types

Hi - I see you have recently created several new stub types. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, it is recommended that new stub types are proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, in order to check whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it is otherwise correctly formatted, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies. Your new stub types are currently listed at WP:WSS/D - please feel free to make any comments there as to any rationale for this stub type. And please, in future, consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 02:16, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] An important letter

Dear roads editor,

You may have noticed some changes at WP:USRD lately. Some of them, like the cleanup templates and the stub templates, have been astounding and great. Unfortunately, others have been disturbing.

This has become evidenced by the departure of a few prominent editors at USRD, a few RFC's, and much fighting among USRD editors.

After the second RFC, many of us found the opportunity to take a step away from Wikipedia for a while--as a self-imposed wikibreak, or possibly on vacation.

The result of such introspection was that many of us were placing ourselves in a "walled garden" and on a self-imposed pedestal of authority over the roads department. Also, we were being hostile to a few users who were not agreeing with us.

In fact, IRC has been the main incarnation of this "walled garden." Decisions have been made there to conduct grudges and prejudices against a few valued USRD users with poor justification.

For this, we have come to apologize. We have come to ask your forgiveness.

In addition to this, we hope to work as one USRD team from now on and to encourage cooperation instead of the promotion of interests.

All users are welcome to collaborate on IRC, the newsletter, or anywhere else at USRD.

In the future, please feel free to approach us about any issues you may have.

Regards,

[edit] Saskatchewan Highway 620

Hello. I suppose the template will have to be re-worded or perhaps another made. I just figured if someone had an interest in that article about SK and had a peek at the talk page, they would themselves feel welcomed to the SK wikiproject, so hence, my reasoning for adding the template. [edit] WikiProject Europe Proposal

Hi, I see you're a member of the European Microstates project. I was wondering if you would be interested in participating in a new "WikiProject:Europe"? It would cover non-EU pan European elements and more national elements where there isn't a project to cover it (e.g. there is no project for Slovenia). Microstates might also want to become a taskforce of the project to keep down overheads etc as there are just a few members. I am just trying to get an idea of numbers before I propose it but if you have comments on the idea please see the Discussion on WPEU. Thanks for your time! - J Logan t: 08:43, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your support! The project has now been set up here. - J Logan t: 14:37, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RE:Zelda/Shiek and Pokemon Trainer

No, they don't. Then again, neither does Pokemon Trainer. He does not use the random-attack Pokemon from the Pokeball item. Rather, a player that uses Red uses a set of three playable characters that can swap at will, much like a player who uses Zelda uses a set of two playable characters that can swap at will.

It's not like Red picks up a Pokeball item and makes the creatures move. Basically, the player plays as a Zelda/Shiek character with one extra form with a little extra stuff going on in the background. Hence, Pokemon Trainer does not do anything that Zelda/Shiek did not introduce in Melee. You Can't See Me! 01:31, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for sticking up for the Maine Diner. As creator, I agree that it easily fulfills notability standards. Ben 01:37, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject roller coasters

Hi there, just to let you know that WP:ROCO has been given an overhaul. As you are listed as a participant, I just thought I'd let you know that there's a new to-do section and much clearer guidelines for roller coaster articles. Hope to see you over there! [edit] USRD Inactivity check and news report

Hello, Son. We had a few urgent matters to communicate to you:

  1. Please update your information at Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Participants, our new centralized participant list. Those who have not done so by October 20th will be removed.
  2. There are important discussions taking place at WT:USRD relating to whether WP:USRD, WP:HWY, or the state projects should hold the "power" in the roads projects.
