[edit] Swearing doll report as a current event?

Hi! I saw on the History of the Bratz article, that you have edited that the news about a Bratz Big Babyz Crazy Karoeke Jade doll swore as a current event. I don't really think that the event will continue for a while, except some other parents have complaints about their dolls, of course. The manufacturers of the dolls, MGA has written the response about it on their website and that's it. There's no officials about why did that baby have a very profane mouth, but it's mostly is a cause of a technical glitch, I think. I edited the story about the "Chinese sweatshop" as a current event, because it will have further details, because the workers will strike, if they won't pay more, than they actually do, seventeen cents an hour, and/or the managers of the factory will fire them. I don't think this is a fair-use case. The 'fairusein' template indicates "...Where no free equivalent is available or could be created that would adequately give the same information..." This is not true in the case of colorblind simulation. You can find thousands of images online illustrating these effects, and it would be quite easy to create these in photoshop, based on any color image taken from the Commons with a ok-to-derive license. I myself plan to contribute to the colorblindness article in near future after I read more books on color and writing some software to experiment with colors (see top of this page). For now, I will remove links to these images from the article. Same simulations on external websites are found at the end of the article. Soon I will add more free images I produce myself, if no one does it before I am done with my research. Fred Hsu 04:32, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

  • It has been proposed by John Carter that the various other projects which relate to Christianity ought to all at least tag those articles which fall within their scope. That way, this project would have a better idea which articles do not fall within the specific scope of any of the other related projects. Articles can be "tagged" by placing {{ChristianityWikiProject}} in the articles talk page.

Regarding Jason White (character), while your edit summary says that the redirect was made without consensus, I clearly placed a discussion on the article's talk page. If there were any objections, they were not voiced so I redirected the page. The article is essentially a reiteration of events from the film, so it is unnecessary. As per WP:FICT: Articles about topics within a fictional universe are notable if they provide sufficient real-world information in well organized units. This article doesn't do that, so it isn't needed. --Jtalledo (talk) 04:45, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

If you're going to complain that consensus wasn't formed for the article to be redirected (even though I left that discussion up for a week before redirecting it), the least you can do is put your two cents into the discussion trying build consensus rather than just undoing the redirect. --Jtalledo (talk) 15:17, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
Please note, you do not necessarily need consensus to redirect an uncontroversial page like Jason White, it's considered being bold. The only need for discussion is if there is objections to the redirection.
