[edit] Pages I've Revised
Spanish universities, although I'm not very happy with this because I've lifted bits of information from other wiki pages. Still, at least I've tried to get this stub going.
[edit] Pages I've Translated
I've recently translated Radio Nacional de España and RTVE from the Spanish version of Wikipedia, although the latter was more of a major rewrite as the Spanish original wasn't very good either (I'm still classing it as a translation because I used Spanish sources).
[edit] Pages I'm Translating
Nothing at the moment, although if you have any suggestions please leave a message on my talk page. I am particularly interested in the politics and society of 19th and 20th century Europe, which was a major component of my degree, but would consider anything related to Spain and Spanish-speaking societies. It all depends on how much time I've got on my hands - don't expect a quick response!
[edit] Pages I'm Most Impressed by
All of the pages on Sweden and Finland, especially on these countries' respective governments and politics - this really helped with exam revision, and they are obviously lovingly maintained.
[edit] Edit of which I'm Most Proud
Catherine Cornaro - added note about her retirement retreat being the inspiration for Pietro Bembo's Gli Asolani and that she was declared "Daughter of the Republic" so that the Venetians could get their hands on Cyprus. These are two very important details that shouldn't have been overlooked. All of the pages on fifteenth and sixteenth century Italian history need a thorough review; a lot of this information is unsafe.
[edit] My View on Userboxes
I think they're a good idea, because they give you an idea of where contributors are coming from intellectually and idealogically (which is essentially in a collective endeavour such as this) without being too verbose... ;-)
[edit] Why I support the "User xx-s" Babel Box
I think there is a danger that people can over-estimate their ability with foreign languages, and at least if you know someone is a student it gives you some indication that they are an active user of the language, rather than someone who did a few lessons years ago at school...
[edit] Username
I'm really not happy about my username. I wanted it to be the same as my signature (SoniaUK), but I didn't know what I was doing when I set up my userpage and I think I'm stuck with it now.
