In the Tibetan language, Song (Wylie: Srong) means truth, sincerity, uprightness and Tsen (Wylie: btsan) stands for strength, stability, invincibility.
[edit] Songtsen, the Non-Profit Organization
Songtsen is a non-profit organization, dedicated to the rescue, preservation and accessibility of Tibetan culture and wisdom. The name Songtsen was chosen to honour the first Buddhist king of Tibet, Songtsen Gampo, who sought to establish a society based on knowledge, understanding and human values. Songtsen Gampo was also considered to be the emanation of Chenrezig, the Buddha of compassion.
