[edit] Sonya's age

Sonya was 26 in 1992; this means she was born in 1966. This year is 2006, making her 40; stop changing it to 39.

Yeah, Sonya, stop changing it! Learn to just ACCEPT! 62.194.121.100 15:16, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pictures

I removed most of the pictures from this page as superfluous. I left in one that included images from all her video game incarnations - it's a good idea, but needs better execution, so I'll leave it for now. I also removed an image of Sandra Hess from the second movie, since it wasn't an image of Sandra as Sonya - if someone could provide an image of Sonya from Annihilation, I'd let that stay. Virogtheconq

  • Just provided a picture of Sonya from MK Annihilation as well as one from MK:Armageddon.

Wow, lots of pictures. --User:Angie Y.

Not my idea. Somebody's busy turning the article into a vanity page - I've been reverting it as I catch them, but it's getting very tiresome.Virogtheconq

This is psychotic. I reverted the page to a much older version, as that picture isn't consistent at all with the rest of the character pages. If that's not enough, someone insists on inserting fanon info about her and Johnny Cage being desperately in love - anyone who pays attention to the game's storyline knows that's all in Johnny's head. I'm seriously considering bringing this page to the men upstairs for editing protection. Shadaloo 05:52, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

  • Edited and solved again. I reverted the page deleting some pictures, making the fatalities list more brief, etc. Should be good now.

[edit] Something I don't get about Sonya and Kano

Why does Kano call Sonya "baby" if they are enemies? That just doesn't make any sense. --User:Angie Y.

  • It's just his way of talking, and trying to get her riled up. His character archetype generally assumes a pseudo-friendly way of addressing others (particularly enemies) in similar media.

[edit] Sonya Blade's height

Who has removed her height and weight?!

Mutual consensus at the Wikiproject decided that all heights/weights of characters were irrelevant to the articles and were removed from the character template entirely (so adding them back in won't do anything). Virogtheconq 14:45, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Someone added Sonya's height and weight again and I've removed it because I thought that it was not allowed to add her height again but, Viro, you said that it won't do anything if someone would add her height and weight back. Sonya Blade is 5' 10" in height and her weight is 140 lbs and here are the evidences of her height and weight http://mkk.mortalkombatonline.com/games/mk/#sonya and http://www.mksecrets.net/mktjb/eng/mktjb-characters.htm. Am I allowed to add Sonya's height and weight to her again if it is not dangerous? Morris Munroe 15:52, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Is Sonya really created?

Sonya Blade looks so real. Did they draw this character or did they copy Sonya's look from other articles? Morris Munroe 15:38, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

  • She was originally played by real actresses during Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3. Her 3D incarnations were inspired by both actresses who played her in the movies (Bridgette Wilson and Sandra Hess) and probably Kerry Hoskins as well (played Sonya in Mk3).
Another important actor who has played Sonya Blade is Elizabeth Malecki. MM 10:58, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Movie version

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Batwv.jpg

Image:Batwv.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
