An unrelated American television series, also entitled Sons and Daughters is currently scheduled to begin in March on the American Broadcasting Company television network. The disclaimer for this article will likely need to change to reflect this. - ArkansasTraveler 01:52, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

There have been several television shows in the United States with the name Sons and Daughters, one in 1974 and another in 1991 (I believe), in addition to the upcoming ABC series. 209.51.77.64 05:22, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sons and Daughters UK airdates

All regions showing a S&D in the Wed to Fri slot (Grampian, HTV, Central, YTV, Thames) all appear to have two extra intended slots for the programme during this year. They all have 151 3.30pm slots for the show in 1986 but all regions only screen 149 episodes. The same happens with Granada and Border who have 151 slots for Young Drs but only 149 episodes are shown. Two slots were obviously replaced at a very last stage. One could be Wed 2 April as a TWA flight had a bomb on it which exploded. The bomb went off shortly after 13.35BST - it is likely that the 3.25pm ITN News was extended to cover this event and then the 3.30pm soap was axed. Even if News was extended by only 10mins it is unlikely that they would show SAD late - they would fill in with a cartoon until 4pm. 2 April is a possibility as YTV regional newspapers show - 2/4 Tempers fray bewteen the O'Briens and Roger Carlyle. Pat tries to ensure that the people she blamed for Margaret's sad fate are punished. 425, 3/4 Terry finmds out the problems of being a single parent 426, 4/4 Terry loses his battle to hold onto Fee. Pat is tempted by a marriage proposal. 427. Then the week after starts with what seems like 427 again. It is likely that YTV adjusted the specific episodic details over the week 2 - 9 April. 9/4Terry tries to keep Fee with him but he is fighting a losing battle = 427 again, 10/4 Will love or revenge feature in Pat's future? 428, 11/4 Katie becomes more involved in Roger's web. Pat is determined to take revenge. 429. All other regions seem to have generic details around this period i.e. "Australian family drama revolving around the Palmer and Hamilton families" or similar details for each ep in Mar & Apr. Granada Border havce similar general details for The Young Drs.

Another episode of the Wed - Fri soap is also withdrawn later in April or in May or June. This could be around the time approaching the wedding of Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. Will advise when found.

[edit] YTV Margaret's funeral ep 423

This ep was definitely shown on Good Friday in 1986. At the time I did not watch the show, but my mum did. At the end when Patricia had made a mess of all the flowers, I recall this very well as I asked my mum why she had done it. She said that Pat was "a very sick woman" :) As 423 was shown on Fri 28/03/86 it means that there must have been a different Wednesday that the 3.30pm slot was changed and not 2 April as previously thought. It is very likely to be a slot in late March such as 26/03 or 19/03. The TSW details I have are very comprehensive - I will look at their ep details for early 1986 and see where the same episode details occur twice.

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
