[edit] Captain Whisker
I'm not suggesting it should be added to the article, but it is interesting that he does seem almost like a cross between Eggman and Big. Like, I know it's a stretch, but if you look at Big's face and the colouring (besides the eyes) and then look at Whisker, there are some similarities. Definitely not worth mentioning in the article until there's some kind of hint at that being relevant. Demaar 17:36, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
http://img78.imageshack.us/img78/1647/1177350060017tw4.jpg <- Blaze is in the game, plus a new Tanuki character that looks like her personal version of Tails.
- Is that official? I like to take things with a grain of salt, so bring a source. If it's a fansite, even trustworthy like Sonic Cult or something, it is unreliable and will not be added. Gurko 19:24, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Marine the Racoon
On a Sonic forum I go to someone posted this piece of promotional art. http://img78.imageshack.us/img78/1647/1177350060017tw4.jpg However since it is not on an official site I cannot confirm it isn't fake. I added a note to the entry but if someone can confirm it with a proper source that'd be great. Jez MM 20:41, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
Damn, never mind, I really should have read the above bit of talk before posting. The specific title of "Whiskers" threw me off so I didn't bother. I'll remove the note until we've got an official source. Jez MM 20:42, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
- The picture originally came from Sonic Cult, which makes it quite likely to be true, seeing how all their early info on Sonic '06 and such was true. However, due to Wikipedia guidelines, fansites are not good sources, and we should not add it. Gurko 22:26, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
-
- Actually, the picture came from Sonic Yoda. Perhaps Sonic CulT has it also, but the posted one was on Sonic Yoda. Sonic Yoda (the webmaster uses the exact same alias as his website's name) stated that he got it off of Sega Europe, apparently before it was changed to the current. No surprise there, especially considering past experiences. However, due to Wikipedia's guidelines (as you stated), it still shouldn't be referenced until valid proof is revealed. It is nice to know that Blaze is coming back after all, though. --Ultima 04:01, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

-
- Oh. Well, yeah, it's still not usable. So if anyone adds it and it's reverted, don't take offense or anything, kay? Gurko 06:49, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

- And it's true by the way, as Sega asked Sonic Stadium to take down their version of it. I'm not entirely sure what to do now. Gurko 15:11, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

-
-
- Perhaps we should state the truth. Say that Sega Europe accidentally showed it early without consent of SEGA Japan and it got leaked to the public before it was officially taken down. Do not add in the info when TSS posts it, though, as it cannot be verified. It was SEGA Europe's own fault for screwing it up, so I say we should be able to reference it. If you do not want to add it in, though, let's just remove the current info that's up for the moment and wait until it's officially confirmed. --Ultima 17:40, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Voice acting
When was it ever officially said that this game won't have the 4KIDS voice actors?
72.4.52.82 16:23, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
- Whoever added that claims a Sega rep said it. I add a ref tag but the statement will have to be removed if no one can find a source. It seems to be original research. It's likely that there wont be 4Kids VAs but we can't add that until we know for sure.--Toxicroak 21:36, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

probably because sonic riders 2 hasnt been confirmed yet, whilst this game really has.--Fred Fredburger: Lord of Horror 20:24, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
um, scratch that. probably because while both games have been confirmed, the title of the sonic riders sequel hasnt been told, who the playable characters are, the level locations, the villains, and even more. all that is known is that there will be a sequel, either on PS3, Xbox 360, or Nintendo Wii.--Fred Fredburger: Lord of Horror 12:52, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah. This game has its own section on Sega's site and coverage. Sonic Riders 2 has a single interview statement. It's just not enough. Gurko 08:57, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
-
- Sonic Riders 2 has not been officially announced or named. All we know is that Takashi Yuda INTENDS on making a sequel. That doesn't even mean it ever will be, though it is quite likely to occur. (Dangit, I keep getting logged out and it's irritating...) --69.210.104.66 21:43, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

- And, by the way, Sonicrules2 seriously needs to take some grammar lessons. I've said this before, but I'll bet that English teachers everywhere must go into conniptions upon seeing this kind of gibberish. --Luigifan 17:32, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

- It could be true, but not likely. Gurko, the fact that it's on DS means NOTHING. They could pack in 10 playable characters easily. It just probably won't happen. --Ultima 21:47, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

- Um, is it just me, or is Michael Mad a bit of a hypocrite? I mean, seriously, he congratulates the blocking of a user with a blatant disregard for proper grammar, and then he goes and misspells the word "grammar". Unless that was an intentional parody of noobs, the guy's got to learn to practice what he preaches. --Luigifan 12:31, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
I did? Well, grammar is frequently misspelled as grammer. I'm no hypocrite, it was a typo, I assure you. I hopefully will not make such blatant mistakes again. My comment about Sonic Rules 2 and his poor grammar was something of a response to your earlier comment, Luigifan. I hold nothing against him simply because of how his grammar is poor. I do, however, hold something against him because of how he did threaten to kill another user, hence his blocking. Sorry for going off-topic there(but then again, Luigifan, you would have been going off-topic by mentioning his poor grammar in your earlier comment, but I did go a step too far by criticising Sonic Rules 2 outright) and subsequetly leaving myself look like an idiot. I've learnt my lesson. We all make mistakes and make ourselves look stupid or foolish in the eyes of others.
Going back on-topic, just because this game is a sequel, it doesn't mean that all characters from past games will reappear. As of now, the only characters known to be making a return are Sonic, Tails and Blaze, and of those, only Sonic has been confirmed to be playable. If you want to mention other characters in the article, fine, but have a reliable source first. Michael Mad 15:36, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

Oh, well, never tell anyone your password for your account on the Wikipedia. Anyway, if I may ask, where did you hear that rumour that all those characters(i.e. Tails, Knuckles, Amy etc.) would be playable in this game? Michael Mad 13:43, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

Yes, whatever, Mario Rules. Anyway, it says in the article "and although Tails is mentioned, a recent Nintendo Power article confirms that he is not playable". Does anyone here have a source to back up that statement, such as a link to any official Nintendo Power site or any site that has an article about what was said in that magazine about Sonic Rush Adventure? [edit] Dispute over release date
I have protected this page to stop the edit war over the release date. I urge editors to form a consensus around this issue. Once that has been done, you can request the page to be unprotected so that further editing can continue.
I have not looked into the merits of the dates so I can't offer an opinion as to which date is "correct".
However, here's a tip: consider the possibility that both dates can be mentioned with clarification as to why there is a discrepancy.
--Richard 20:43, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Basically, some want to go with what only Sega websites say, while others are sourcing to websites like IGN, Gamespot, or game retailer site...all of which are good, but it is causing disagreements here. 阿修羅96 21:00, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well, first off, the notion that IGN disagrees with Sega about when it comes out is patent nonsense. September is considered fall. (Granted, the game is actually coming out 2-5 days before the official beginning of fall, but sticking to that small of a technicality would be silly)
- EB says they'll ship on the 18th. That tends to suggest the official release date is a couple days later (so that it arrives on the actual release days). Best Buy says the release date is the 21st. That fits in nicely with EB shipping on the 18th. What I don't understand is that we know, with absolute certainty, that it's coming out before the european version, so... why is that date constantly being listed beforethe north american date? Whether it's the 18th or the 21st, it's still before the 28th.
- In any event, since the section is, "Release dates", rather than "First shipping dates", just change it to the 21st, in the absence of an earlier concrete date. But saying "Fall" is certainly not necessary. Bladestorm 21:11, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- (btw, this isn't specifically aimed at you, Ashura. I just used the indenting to make it more readable) Bladestorm 21:11, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- That's OK, I didn't think so, User:A Link to the Past is the biggest culprit of the dispute. (I tried giving my input once, and was promptly reverted...) I'm just tired of watching this argument...阿修羅96 21:14, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- You gave your input in the form of trying to be a mediator, but taking a particular side (and considering that the side you took was that of someone who placed the US date above the EU date when it was the other way around...) makes you specifically not a mediator in the situation. Also, the idea that the people releasing the game are "out-of-date" is even bigger nonsense. - A Link to the Past (talk) 21:21, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- The order of which the release dates are given doesn't matter to me (for now anyways...) It's not like I could pick a third side there (add a Japan date :P ) 阿修羅96 21:24, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- So... which comes first? The 21st, or the 28th? Bladestorm 22:37, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- I dunno - I guess 21st. And since IGN is the best source for information, they're right. Not silly Sega. - A Link to the Past (talk) 22:42, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- When did Sega give a precise date that was after the 28th? Last I checked, they just generally left it as "Fall" on their website.
- And I didn't quote IGN. Stop putting words in my mouth. Look up just a teeeeensy bit, and you'll see that I said that EB lists the 18th as their shipping date (suggesting an actual release date of a couple days later), and that Best Buy outright lists the 21st as the Release date.
- Seriously, where did I mention IGN at all, other than to say that they didn't outright disagree with Sega's date? Hmm? Nowhere? That's what I thought. Bladestorm 22:46, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- Retailers aren't reliable sources. So your examples are even worse than IGN would be. IGN is consistently an unreliable source for release dates as well - I think some people remember their date of "December 31, 9999" for Magical Starsign. - A Link to the Past (talk) 22:54, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- I dunno - I guess 21st. And since IGN is the best source for information, they're right. Not silly Sega. - A Link to the Past (talk) 22:42, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

(outdent)Retailers are a reasonable source of info when the subject in question is when those same retailers intend to sell a product. This is especially true when they appear to be consistent with eachother. Tell me, do you have any specific dates you can reference? Something more precise than, "Fall"? Otherwise, I really don't see the need to keep arguing, let alone edit-warring to the point of page protection. Bladestorm 22:59, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
- The IGN page on the Games of Summer says the 18th is the release date, while EB Games says it is the "shipping date." Doesn't EB Games ship on the day the game is released? Take Picross DS for example. The game's release date is July 30 and that's also what EB Games lists as the "shipping date". So it would be wrong to assume that Sonic Rush Adventure comes out a couple days later than the "shipping date." --Toxicroak 02:52, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I guess I got it mixed up with amazon or something. But that's still a reason for listing it as the 18th, not as "Fall". So then, in the absence of further information, problem solved. :) 18th is is. Bladestorm 14:15, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Retailer dates are rarely reliable. They use placeholder dates for crying out loud!
- Regardless, just because it's vague doesn't mean the one saying it is less reliable. Reliability, not truth, remember?
- And on top of that, it would seem that the user who did this in the first place has been going around Wikipedia and making similar actions, as well as stalking me and reverting edits related to EU versus NA. - A Link to the Past (talk) 17:18, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
- Well... since you do tend to introduce a EU-bias (remember changing boxarts and such to correspond to which version was released earlier-NOT which version was in the stable article first?), you can't be surprised if people tend to revert them a lot. What's more, since you tend to comment on the same issues on multiple pages, you can't be surprised if people watch your contributions list a lot. (Heck, I've been watching your contributions list constantly ever since I replied to you on one page, but didn't notice your comments on the same subject on another, and got chewed out for it)
- Part of the problem here is that you strongly implied that sega disagrees with ign and the retailers. What's more, you could've been blocked for 3RR because you didn't want to discuss it properly first. These aren't things to gloss over. Back to the specific matter at hand, we have both EB and IGN saying the 18th. This doesn't mean it's certain to be the accurate date, but it seems to be reasonably reliable. Certainly not edit-warring over. Bladestorm 17:24, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
-
- It still qualifies as harassment - I'm going to do a Checkuser on King of America and Coconutfried73, as well as several IPs, who seem to have extremely similar opinions and edit habits.
- And as I've said, GS and IGN would be good sources if they were backed up by a reliable source. You DO know that bout GameStop and IGN use placeholder dates and do not mark them as such? Most often at or very close to the beginning of a new quarter or season. - A Link to the Past (talk) 17:35, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
-
- Fair enough. I guess I got it mixed up with amazon or something. But that's still a reason for listing it as the 18th, not as "Fall". So then, in the absence of further information, problem solved. :) 18th is is. Bladestorm 14:15, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
Well, whether or not it's harrassment is something for admins to decide. (Again, if the reverts themselves aren't flagrant vandalism or antagonism, then you may have a hard time making a case for harassment) As far as placeholders are concerned, I realize that EB (and also GS, I suppose) sometimes uses placeholders, but I've never heard of them doing so for games that are less than three months away. (More often than not, the questionable placeholders I see on IGN are for things like "TBA 2007", when it really may end up coming out the next year, but I've never seen them guess at a very specific date) Bladestorm 17:59, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

As to "just a trailer", I refer you to The wikipedia page for Halo Wars, just one example where nearly the entire page is trailers. I feel the trailer is relevant, as it adds new information about abilities, levels, music etc. As for the "more important issue to resolve", that is a) opinion and b) not an excuse to stop updating the page with relevant info in the meantime. I vote add.

There has been a gameplay video of this game released. - I think that name is more likely to be Meringue (as in lemon meringue pie), what with Sonic Team ALWAYS naming characters after English words (except for Amy). Marlin (like the fish) or even Merlin are also possible romanizations, but not as pretty :).
- Or "Marine", since the game includes a whole lot of islands and boats. Gurko 13:06, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
The name has been confirmed Marine the Racoon. Sonic Stadium has found proof relased by the video game publication Famitsu. http://www.sonicstadium.org/sonicnews/305 edit by PsychokineticFreak
I just need to point out that the Sonic Stadium arrticle doesn't justify the assumption that the name is Marine any more than we have, they just assume a romanization based on the japanese text as the users above did. I think Marine is most likely for the same reasons they do, but it's not a confirmed fact until we see some English text. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.231.181.210 (talk • contribs)
- We should probably stick to facts and write Marin (マリン?) and put a note saying "this is how the name is written in Japanese. The character's name has not yet been revealed in a form romanized to English, and may be different in the end result". Gurko 11:49, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

He's right. Protecting the p[age over this is just stupid as we could very well list TBA or something similar. Besides, people are only gonna think the dates shown are correct anyways.GrandMasterGalvatron 11:07, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, I meant Q3 2007. Anyway, It makes logical sense because the most casual user won't even look on the talk page to see what's going on. I would say we go with Sega and Nintendo, and state the release date as "Fall 2007," Because although the other websites are trustworthy, don't forget that mistakes can happen. Plus, 9/18/07 isn't logical. The JPN release date is 10/18/07, a month later. The game is being developed in Japan, so why wouldn't it come out there first?? (Source: http://sonic.sega.jp/rushadventure/ near bottom of page.) Tails0600 03:43, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- Sonic Rush came out in America before it did in Japan. 阿修羅96 17:54, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
I want to point out to the moderators that Ashura96 is the only one impeding the unprotection of this page. And I'm pretty convinced by their behavior that their goal is to keep the page protected since they're not proposing any solutions. This is the new discussion at which we come to consensus. I propose a times is listed so that it fits both of the original sources (nintendo and game sites). If this ends up being a quarter, half-year, or even year, that's fine. It would not be incorrect and it would allow the page to become useful again.
- First of all, sorry Ashura96, I didn't really pay too much attention to Sonic Rush's article. Anyway, I highly think we should have the date changed to Q3 2007. Although unreliable, it makes more sense than a date we're not even sure about. I just hope Sega announces the date soon, I'm dying to try it, I've been waiting for touch screen controls like Rush was supossed to have... Tails0600 21:36, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
GrandMasterGalvatron has requested that this page be unprotected. Reading the above, I am not convinced that a consensus has been reached. Ashura96 needs to be brought "on board" somehow. However, I am amenable to unprotecting this page with an injunction to everyone to avoid edit-warring. If edit-warring resumes, ask for the page to be re-protected either by contacting me or by leaving a request on WP:RPP. Good luck and happy editing. --Richard 05:48, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
Interesting, the original dispute was never solved, I don't want to see it happen again. 阿修羅96 20:49, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, that makes us feel better, the page is more realistic in a release date now. I don't think it was resolved at first, because this wasn't thought of originally. Tails0600 23:09, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] MAJOR Overhaul as new information has been revealed due to OST tracklisting!
Hello, I am kinda still new here so I do NOT really know how to cite sources, but all my edits are correct. 1, DIMPS, according to IGN has been the confirmed dev for this game. Also the ost on SEGA's site which can be seen here http://segadirect.jp/Catalog/CustomPages/CustomDetail2.aspx?File=sonicrushad_nds.htm reveals the names of every stages, as well as a name for the green torpedo dude: Johnny! Please help me put this in the refernces section! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Huelen1 (talk • contribs) 65.33.183.245 09:39, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The official english website is up,alot of information on all character and the story of the game!
The official website reveal alot of new information on everyone, including the 4 vehicles Tails build for sonic. The name of the green torpedo guy is in fact Johnny and he claim himself the fastest thing on earth,Whiskers is similar to Dr.Eggman he has a very bad temper. Anyway you guys should start filling this article, the site http://www.sega.com/gamesite/sonicrushadv/index.htmlHolyNightmare 07:03, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
- Also, the raccoon is named Marine, and Sonic and Tails can't decipher her Australian dialect. --Luigifan 23:53, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] PEGI Rating
If you look at the cover art, it is clearly rated 3+, not 12+. The game, as far as I know, does not have bad language. If it's rated E by ESRB, it should be tame...
75.120.15.247 23:19, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
- Saw it in GameStation, Dundee today. The box there definitely had a 12+ for strong language. -- TheDarkArchon 19:00, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
- I've bought the game, it's definatley 12+ (For bad language), that picture in the article is an old one, it doesn't even have the Wi-Fi logo in the corner. Inferno Sonic 21:25 17 September 2007 (UTC)
I don't know if I'm hearing things, but is the singer in the boss theme constantly shouting the F word? The only other occurence of bad language I can find is Marine occasionally saying "bugger". If it is the F word, it's probably a case of the Japanese composer not knowing what the word actually means. Though you'd think SEGA USA/Europe would have noticed. Or I could just be hearing things, and a cute Australian Raccoon saying "bugger" twice is enough for a 12 rating, which seems over the top. Philtrauferson 21:30, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
I too thought the boss theme kinda sounded like it had fuck in it but equally the repeated sample could also be saying "Beat against the beat, r-r-rockin" also. Or equally it could just be some random vocal noises which aren't actual words at all. Hehe, reminds me of the japanese/european boss theme for Sonic CD where it sounds like the sample is yelling "Whup that son of a bitch, come on now, whup that son of a bitch!" I'm sure there'll be a lot of confusion over the higher rating here in europe. I don't think bugger is thought of as being an expletive elsewhere. Jez MM 01:37, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm from the UK and, although I don't consider "bugger" a swear-word myself, I understand that other people do. I simple edit here and there could have seen to that. I've heard the boss theme, and it definitely sounded like "rockin'" to me, so I highly doubt this is the reasoning. Psychic Potato 14:10, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Well, either way, I think a new picture for the article is needed so that people don't get confused (I would do it, but I don't know how to upload photos). Inferno Sonic 17:43 18 September 2007 (UTC)
The newer photo looks like it's been screwed with, so it's possible the rating might be wrong. But...ugh, this is ridiculous. Why would they change the rating at the last moment? I guess this is another issue of how other countries interpret things. But, Inferno Sonic is right; we need a newer photo. 75.120.39.25 20:06, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
I saw in a Tesco Catalog thingy that it was rated 3+. However, the same one said that fifa 08 was rated 7+ when I know it was'nt. 88.109.50.205 16:51, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
- The definition of swearing is varies in differnt places. E.g. in Australia, it is acceptable to say "bugger". (Some of you may have seen our imfamous "Where the BLOODY HELL are you?" tourism add campaign) But I think the reason this game is rated 12+ by the PEGI rating system is due to mistranslation in to one or more European language(s). 58.174.98.29 (talk) 10:39, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Music
Is Hideki Naganuma still this game's composer? Nintenboy01 01:22, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Nope, I checked the credits (which are also in the manual) and he isn't listed at all. However the "new record" jingle which he made is used. Aside from that, the only remenants of his music are in the first zone and boss theme, which are both clearly inspired by the corrosponding tunes from the first game, and the reuse of the "hot hot hot" sample from "What U Need" in one piece of music. The 1up jingle is the same too but I dunno if Naganuma composed that one... it's only 2 seconds long anyway. Jez MM 01:32, 18 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Created By ??
Someone keeps putting the developer of this game as Sega Studio USA..... Sonic Team USA isn't even making this game!! They are working on the new NiGHTS game for the Wii. I just put the developer as Sonic Team. Because DIMPS didn't make this game, and the intro screen just says " Created By Sonic Team " So there.S200048 22:17, 19 September 2007 (UTC)s200048 dimps delveloped the game. HA! (the game credits say so.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.68.74.37 (talk) 19:38, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Oh okay, Dimps developed the game. Fine. I always thought that the developer was Dimps. But Sega never game us a clear indication of who the developer was... Sega just said that it was being developed by Sega Studios. Who the hell is Sega Studios?? LOL. —Preceding unsigned comment added by S200048 (talk • contribs) 22:32, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Dimps is credited in the instruction booklet, page 34. 20 staff members are credited under the 'Dimps' header. 3 staff members are credited under the 'Sega Team' header. 'Sega Studios' or 'Sega Studios USA' is nowhere to be found. I hope this settles the matter. ~ Aero Leviathan 18:12, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] IT'S NOT plagiarism!!
"Plagiarism: Taking, using, and passing off as your own, the ideas or words or work of another."
How is using official information plagiarism? Because it's NOT. It makes nearly no sense whatsoever, and you have to understand that it means "saying something is yours". Not "using something from another person". Get it?
Plagiarism: Saying something is yours, when it's not.
Not plagiarism: Using information provided by it's official source.
Saying it's plagiarism is WRONG. If it was, WHO is the one is stating it's THEIRS? Wikipedia? No, wikipedia does NOT say that everything on their encyclopedia is theirs. That's why it's called the 'Free Encyclopedia'. No one said it was theirs! So to clear things up, stating who and where the information came from should be good enough. But saying that it's plagiarism (even stating where it came from) is absolutely stupid. It's cleared it up already, it's NOT plagiarism which is illegal. Therefore it's legal, unless they don't WANT you to use it. But that's still stupid, as it's free and open to the public, or they would be hiding that information from you. Another example would be if it said 'Multiplayer' on the official website. So you go on wikipedia and type in 'Multiplayer' and reference it to the official website. Is it illegal? No. Is it plagiarism? NO! And it’s absolutely no different, not one bit. Why not use information that the official website PROVIDES for us? Why the hell would it be illegal to use information it provides for us, and even say that it belongs to them? I hope others will agree. Now someone please do the honor of taking the stupid possible copyright infringement off the page.
(Why would it be illegal to use information it provides for us, and even if we rightfully say it belongs to them? It isn't, thats why.) Staticz 03:24, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- The entire article has disappeared because of that "copyright infringement" thing. What the fuck and why? Drakonis 20:35, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- It disappeared because some of the information was taken from the official site, me thinks. Like, copied and pasted. Cheeze Master 21:46, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Cheeze Master
I know, the official site PROVIDES the info for you to use whatever you want with it. :/ I also agree to take off the 'Copyright Infringement', and restore the webpage back to its original essence! Staticz 21:56, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Sonicrushad nds main.jpg
Image:Sonicrushad nds main.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Gameplay Rewrite - Saving at Marines House
The statement in the "Gameplay" section of this article states that you can save the game at Marines house... But that's not true... You have to use the "Menu" option which is available at all times while on Southern Island. The only other time you can save the game is going to your WFC settings from either of the machines (which then it'll ask you to save before going to change your WFC Settings.
Please consider a small re-write to the "save game" method or remove it entirely.
Also add a note it's safe to save after every world is complete (Including Meterials Gathering and Missions)

[edit] 2nd Online Game?
In the opening paragraph, it states that this is the second playable online game in the Sonic series. First off, I believe that Sonic 2006 only had downloadable content. If that's the case, then Sonic Adventure International and Sonic Adventure 2 on the dreamcast had that as well, making it the 4th "online" game in the series. As for online head-to-head playing, I believe this is the first game. Either way, I think the statement in the article is wrong. 81.149.182.210 18:03, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Possibly Sonic Rivals, I've never played the game, so I don't know, although yeah, technically, it is the 4th game. Someone whose played Sonic Rivals, can we confirm this? Tails0600 21:49, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Link's awakening references?
I found a bunch of things in common with Zelda 4 in this game. 1. The storm, Link and Sonic both got lost in storms, Link's ship got struck by lightning, so did the Tornado. 2. Marin, Link was found on the beach by an red-head girl named Marin, Sonic was found by Marine. 3. Both girls wanted to leave the island, Marin wanted to be a seagull Marine waned to be an adventurer 4. Both heroes end up in worlds other than their own. 5. Islands, Koholint and Southern look a lot alike. 6. Mushrooms, In Zelda, Tarin ate mushrooms he found in a forest somewhere, They turned him into a raccoon. Marin thought the mushrooms looked tasty and she's already raccoon. 7. Both girls looked like someone the hero knew, Marin looks like Zelda, and Marine looks like Cream.
Does anybody know why? did sega steal ideas, or were they based on a folk tail? Should it be mentioned in the article? Goron0000 (talk) 03:06, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
-
- 1 and 2 are pretty much stock situations for a castaway story, 3 isn't similar enough to be a reference: Everyone want to leave home at some point and the methods the two characters want to take are completely unrelated. 4 is done as a vice versa to Sonic Rush, where it was Blaze who was in another world. 5 doesn't really count as, at least in Sonic Rush Adventure, Southern Island is a generic tropical island. 7 is a generic alternate universe situation. -- TheDarkArchon (talk) 15:02, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- In any case, Nintendo owns Sega, so, who knows? Tails0600 (talk) 01:04, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
