I would guess he is referring to this: "Another new character will appear but like Shade not much is known, he appears to be part of the same race as Shade since he looks very similar including the boots but has much larger horns and has a face that resembles that of a hippo's, he also seems to carry two metal circular blades with her." I think this is based on a picture of a Shade-like character in the original preview that gave so much information about the game, but I don't believe it was mentioned they were a specific character - they might just be generic enemies who share Shade's fashion sense. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.42.224.209 (talk) 15:22, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Rumors of Tails' Death

CVG published an article on February 28th that hinted that Tails might die in the game. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=183596 Although this is only a rumor, it has become widespread, and I think that it may have some significance in the article. I'm not entirely sure that Dexter exists, it is easily possible Amy was making it up to get a reaction from Sonic. Personally, until there is more than mention in a screenshot of dialogue to use as proof, I think he should be considered a rumor and as such be absent from the article. I was wondering if under the gameplay section, we could get a pic. of a battle against an enemy on one side, and on the other, a pic. of Sonic & co. exploring an area like Green Hill Zone for ex.? It's a good way to demonstrate how the gameplay of TGD works for those of whom don't already know. I personally don't care whether or not he's real (I'll probably hate the storyline either way and never play the game), I'm just concerned that in the context of his name's mention in the dialogue that its not enough proof and it may be speculation either way. If he is real then I'm looking forward to seeing what he looks like. If he's not real, it wouldn't be the first time inaccurate information has been displayed for upcoming titles on Wikipedia. Got to remember the game takes place two years ahead of the main stream, The characters can develop in unexpected ways. Even so there's no proof Dexter will make an appearance based on Amy simply talking about him. I'm thinking he's fit more in a trivia section right now as he's not 'confirmed to appear'. How exactly does a screenshot of this on IGN prove anything? If BioWare doesn't mention it at all, then there's no proof that IGN's screenshot is legitimate. They didn't post the screenshot anywhere; not in the NP article, not on their site. This article needs more references from official Sega/Bioware/EA press releases or major gaming news sites/magazines in the main sections (outside of Development, which has a few; specifically, gameplay, story and character listings are unsourced.) Anything that cannot be referenced in this manner should be removed as unsourced. SynergyBlades (talk) 18:51, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

In addition, the informal sourcing needs cleaning up. Instead of "According to X Magazine" or "A preview of the game was featured in the February 2008 issue of the Nintendo Power magazine", these should be put as references using the ref tag, along with an appropriate template (eg. cite web). In this manner, the facts are stated clearly, and the source should not be in the main body of text - to find the source, you then click the little number that appears which takes you to the reference section for that citation. The pink stuff is just bad graphics. They actaully outlines her whole body in pink, and the pink you are talking about is the outline of her eyelashes. Why is their such a disagreement about this? This is the only thing I agree with about Mr. IP-Address's rant. He hasn't been confirmed to appear. He has only been mentioned by one character. I've gone ahead and done the task of editing the article, going through all the references to try and find the information stated, despite not actually having read anything about this game. In future, if you're going to add information, sourcing it as you go along would save an editor who, like me, is not acquainted with the subject matter from having to take a long period of time to find all the appropriate refs to add. Reverting any additions without sources is one way to keep it under control and I'd highly recommend it for this article in future. I know it's fun to be the first to put in new bits of information, but if it's not sourced, it's not encyclopedic, which is what this article has to be for Wikipedia at the end of the day.

I have taken out anything I could not find a solid reference for amongst reliable sources. If you feel that information is important, and you have a source (such as the oft-mentioned Nintendo magazines, which I do not own and cannot use as a reference), then please do place it in - with reference, obviously. Alternatively if, like SLJCOAAATR 1 has mentioned, you find citing difficult, just leave the information on the talk page with appropriate details so we can add it in for you. For reliable gaming sites or official information, the URL is suitable, and for magazines, this includes the name, issue and page numbers, and article title and author. Many thanks.
