Talk:Songs from the Lifehouse Project

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

These are other important songs that were intended for Lifehouse at one point or another.

"Mary" was recorded by the Who in 1971 during the same session that recorded "Time Is Passing". Because the tape was damaged the Who recording was not released. A Pete Townshend demo can be found on Scoop. I'm not sure what part it played in Lifehouse.

"Naked Eye" was a song built around instrumental jams in 1969 and early 1970. A studio version was recorded by The Who in 1970 and intended for an EP (that would also have featured "I Don't Know Myself", "Water", "Postcard", and "Now I'm A Farmer." It was frequently performed live in the 1970's and played in 1989. It was revived in the 90's. I'm not sure what it was in the Lifehouse story. Live versions can be found on Live At The Isle Of Wright Festival and the Young Vic concert recordings. Fragments of the song can be heard at the end of "My Generation" on Live At Leeds.

"Live At The Royal Albert Hall", recorded in 2000, features many of the songs that were intended for Lifehouse.
