Sonya Dyakova

Sonya Dyakova (b. 1975) is a russian graphic designer based in London. Together with Julia Hasting she's associate art director at Phaidon Press.
She studied at the Academy of Art in San Francisco, California before moving to London where she began her career as a graphic designer.
Since working at Phaidon Press in 2005 she has won several prizes including:

- Print Magazine Annual Awards (2007)
- Tokyo Type Directors Club (2008)
- New York Type Directors Club (2008)
- Wallpaper Annual Awards (2008)

Her Paper Alphabet, a bespoke typeface designed for a book project Sculpture Today, is currently displayed at the The Courtauld Institute of Art. Blink, Cut + Repeat: joined show with Victoria Bean, Asli Kal, Sam Messenger, Sam Winston and Ian Wright.
