[edit] Overview
Sony Ericsson K810 is available in "noble blue", "pulse red" and "golden ivory" colours. It retains its predecessor's 3.2 mega-pixel camera with auto focus. As well as visual differences from the K800, the new K810 has new Photo Fix software, for editing photographs.
[edit] Camera
The digital camera is able to take photos at four resolutions: 3.2 megapixels (2048x1536), 2 MP (1632x1224), 1 MP (1280x960), and VGA (640x480), with Standard and Fine quality settings at each resolution. Its features are the same as that of K800i:
- Four shoot modes - Normal, BestPic, Panorama, Frames
- Eight scene presets - Auto, Twilight landscape, Twilight portrait, Landscape, Portrait, Beach/Snow, Sports, Document
- Three focus modes - Auto, Macro, Infinite
- Three flash settings - Off, Auto, Red-eye reduction
- Four special effects which can be applied to the photographs - Black & White, Negative, Sepia, Solarize
- Manually adjustable white balance with the following available presets - Automatic, Daylight, Cloudy, Fluorescent, Incandescent
- Two metering settings - Normal metering, spot metering
- Image and video stabilisation
- Xenon flash with AF illuminator assist
It also has a self-timer, which is useful for self-portraits. A light press of the shutter button initiates the auto-focus feature of the camera lens - when a green dot appears on the screen, the camera has focused, and a full press will capture the photograph. The camera also has the ability to capture video clips at 176x144 (QCIF) resolution at 10 frames per second. The camera, which also features 16x digital zoom, is situated on the back side of the phone and is protected by a sliding gloss plastic, metal-effect look cover.
