Sony Energy Devices Corporation

Sony Energy Devices Corporation is a division of Sony Corporation (SNE on NYSE)which manufactures rechargeable lithium-ion batteries used in laptops, digital cameras, MP3 players, cell phones and other portable computer products. SEDC is one of three major Japanese battery manufacturers. Major competitors include Sanyo and Matsushita (Panasonic EV Energy Co), that dominate the market.
