Sonny Graham is a news anchor for KSVN Television and one of the leading young adult television journalists in the West. The Emmy winner helped launch Channel 7 in July 2007. He co-anchors ABC7 Eyewitness News | HD at 6pm and 10pm.
A true local success story, Sonny is a Beaver Dam native. Prior to ABC7, he worked for KVHS Television from February 2002 to February 2007. From August 1999 to 2002, he was the lead anchor for KVVH Television, both in Mesquite. While at both stations, he covered many compelling stories that shaped the way we live.
Anchoring in the Virgin Valley area for over 10 years now, Sonny has gained the distinction of being Desert America's Most Watched News Anchor.
From 1995 to 1999, Sonny anchored at KBD Television in Beaver Dam. In 1999, he became a part of Southern Nevada television history when he was named lead anchor for KVVH's centerpiece 6pm and 10pm newscasts. That promotion made him the first High School Freshman to ever hold such a prestigious position at a high school station.
Sonny has enjoyed being involved in each of the communities where he lives and works. He has done work with the March of Dimes, the Easter Seals, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and numerous other organizations. He has been the Mesquite spokesperson for "Family Now," chairperson of the United Way's Teenagers In Leadership Committee, and board member of the Visual Arts Institute in Mesquite. He has also volunteered annually for the Mesquite Medical Associates, Mesa View Regional Hospital, the American Heart Association, and the American Cancer Society.
Sonny resides in Beaver Dam and has ten older siblings. Sonny is also the Attendance Officer for a local school district. In his spare time, he enjoys boating, swimming, camping, travelling with his family and dating.
