Sonia Uribe (born October 16, 1981) is a Colombian journalist, television personality, voice-over artist and actress reciding in London, United Kingdom.[1]

Sonia Uribe Angulo, Colombian American, was born in Bogotá, Colombia to Michael Uribe and Lila Angulo. Both of her parents are of Colombian descent. Because of her father's career, her family moved to Texas, in the U.S., when Sonia was an infant. Following her relocation to Texas, she developed a passion for entertaining and reporting.[citation needed] Uribe was raised in San Antonio, Texas.[citation needed]

From an early age, Uribe has been involved in modeling, appearing in a number of leading publications.[when?]
Her first break into entertainment reporting began with a local CBS Affiliate Morning show in the USA, alongside former Miss USA 1994 Lu Parker.[citation needed] Sonia’s stint at CBS revealed her ease in front of the camera and she even attracted her own fan club.[citation needed]
She attended the University of the Incarnate Word and received a Bachelor in Communication Arts degree in Journalism. She then went on to pursue a Masters degree in Television Journalism at the University of London, UK.[citation needed]
She's worked on a variety of different television productions, including documentaries, current affairs and lifestyle programming. Uribe is currently starring in her own investigative documentary TV series titled "The Sonia Uribe Files" where she ventures off to extraordinary spots in an attempt to discover earth's mysteries.

She has been romantically linked with David Copperfield (illusionist) and NBA star Beno Udrih. Uribe married a South African whom she met in London in 2007.
