Sonia is a film that is currently in production and being directed by the Indian filmmaker Jag Mundhra, written by Carl Austin and starring Italian actress Monica Bellucci. The movie is based on the biography of Sonia Gandhi written by Rasheed Kidwai. The film is about the her life as the current president of the leading Indian National Congress

The Indian National Congress has stated that they object to the film because the filmmakers have not received consent from Sonia Gandhi or any of the family members and that the accuracy of the film is unknown. Hence the movie is on hold.
