Something to Shout About was the title of Lulu's first UK LP, released on the Decca label in 1965. Most of the songs are recorded in an R&B, early rock and roll style, that complimented Lulu's very mature and raspy voice.

Released when she was just when she was 17, This was Lulu's first of many albums to come, and made her a near overnight success.

  • Jimmy Page provides guitar on a few of the tracks, including "I'll Come Running Over".
  • "Shout" reached #7 in the UK charts in 1964.
  • "Here Comes the Night" was also recorded in 1964 by Them featuring Van Morrison and would later be covered by David Bowie on his 1973 album "Pin Ups".
