Somervale School is situated within Midsomer Norton in Bath and North East Somerset in South West England. The school is a specialist Arts College.
It is the one of two secondary schools in the area, providing further education to the many local primary schools and some pupils who live outside the catchment area.
The school has approximately 802 pupils and over 50% of pupils stay on into the sixth form.
The school prides itself on caring for all pupils, regardless of ability range, in a well supported atmosphere. It has lowered its intake level in order to do this. The school provides many extra- curricular activities and is dedicated to achieving the best from every pupil.
Many pupils in the school help to influence the way that the school is moving through the student council.
