Somerset, Bermuda
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Somerset is a small village in the northwest of Bermuda, located in Sandys Parish. It lies in the northern half of Somerset Island. The only way to get to this town by car is by crossing the world's smallest drawbridge, pequena ponte (Portugese for "Small Bridge"). Somerset has a total population (excluding visitors) of 1. Some of the famous people to have visited Somerset are Paul Jetton (NFL OG '89-'93), George Harrison (Beatles lead guitarist), Keith Van Horn (NBA F '97–present). On May 11, 1999 Somerset temporarily changed it's name to Merda to protest the large feces that someone had taken on the drawbridge.
