This image is from the American Landscape and Architectural Design, 1850-1920 collection of the Frances Loeb Library, Harvard Graduate School of Design, as hosted by the United States Library of Congress at its American Memory web site. The Loeb Library makes the following statement regarding the image's copyright:

The Frances Loeb Library is unaware of any copyright in the images in this collection. We encourage use of these images under the fair use [emphasis editor's] clause of the 1976 Copyright Act. All images in this collection may be used for educational and scholarly purposes, but we do ask that a credit line be included with each image used (see below). Whenever possible, the Frances Loeb Library has provided in the catalog records for these materials all known information regarding the photographer or other persons associated with the lantern slide.
