Why did you create The Museum of Lancashire/Temp? /Temp pages are usually reserved for rewriting pages with copyright violations. --Diberri | Talk 19:24, Aug 25, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Those copyrighted pages
About those copyrighted pages ... I'm not sure if you will be reading my talk page, but I have put back the copyright violation notices and copied your content (where necessary) to the temporary subpages. I think this is the correct thing to do in this case. Things seem to be a bit muddled at the moment, but it should all work out for the best. Thanks for your new articles. --Timc 19:42, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Don't worry about it
I got your message on my talk page. Don't worry about it too much -- we all make mistakes! I really appreciate the work you did to replace the articles. You're new around here, so you can't be expected to know how everything works. Please keep contributing! --Timc 19:50, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Forest of Bowland hill
Good work on creating pages about the Bowland hills! If they are not marilyns there is still the general category of "Category:Hills", and the infobox always look good on a page in my opinion, so I'll add it to all of them. Grinner 12:33, Sep 6, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Clougha Pike
..has a problem with the image. Could you please re-upload your photo (under a sensible name) and make sure the article links to the newly uploaded image? Somehow, I cannot just revert the image to your version, and with that name, overwritings are bound to happen again. Thanks, Lupo 10:13, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Image:015.jpg has been listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:Image:015.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. |
- Please note: The image you uploaded, [1], has been overwritten. If you wish to have that image deleted but your image remain, please make that clear. Note your image also has no source or copyright information. Steve block talk 21:49, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
Hi, could you license these images (below)? If you're still confused about what license you want, I tend to license mine under the GFDL and CC-BY-SA licenses, the default. These mean anybody may use re-use them, but when they do they must acknowledge the photographer and make it clear to others that they may also re-use them. You could also make them public domain, but this allows people to use them without acknowledging you and without telling others that they're free to use them. I also recommend using Wikimedia Commons [2]. Images uploaded there will automatically also be on Wikipedia, but at commons we can create galleries and categorise photos (I found your images when I was updating the English counties galleries). [edit] Image copyright problem with Image:CIMG0378.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:CIMG0378.JPG. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Longhair 03:01, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:CIMG0386.JPG
|
Thanks for uploading Image:CIMG0386.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 09:03, 8 March 2006 (UTC)

Just came back from a walking holiday on Snowdon and saw your pic of Crib Goch ; been trying to get up the courage to walk that ridge for years ; what's like it? Is it as dangerous as everyone makes out?

[edit] Ely Cathedral image
Hello, I really liked the image you took of the lantern at Ely Cathedral - it looks really impressive. I hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of slightly improving the colour and framing of it, which also removes the hand just on the edge - hope you like the result:
I have put this picture on the main Ely Cathedral page, rather than just in the gallery, because it illustrates the lantern really well. Rob 00:12, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Miller Park
seems your photo of Miller Park is gone, this one was in it's place.
Looks like you would need to reload the image and readd it to Miller Park, Preston

[edit] Image:Elynave.jpg
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Elynave.jpg, by Sailko (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Elynave.jpg fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Elynave.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Elynave.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 19:21, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
