[edit] Amrita Hunjan images

Hi. You did a nice job for the Amrita Hunjan article. But I am afraid that the images you have used are copyrighted. Most images found on the web simply can't be used in Wikipedia because of copyright issues. All the images you used on the page come from sites which copyright their content. So you cant use them without permission from the sites. I am sorry that such images will get deleted in a few days (not more than a week). I suggest that you replace them with non-copyrighted images, or use some fair use images such as magazine covers. Contact me if you need any more help. --soUmyaSch 18:34, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Amrita5.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Amrita5.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Image legality questions. 04:31, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Legha1.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Legha1.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. [edit] Image Tagging Image:Namitha3.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Namitha3.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey 09:59, 20 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Kna.jpg)

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Kna.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Yamla 00:08, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Substantial image problems

All copyrighted images must have their source identified (this includes the copyright holder), an appropriate license, and a detailed hand-written fair-use rationale for each use of the image on the Wikipedia. Please refrain from uploading any more images until you have gone back and added this information to the images you have already uploaded. Thanks. --Yamla 19:59, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 3LW

You said: "Hmmm. Im guessing you are new to this. The source: from their music video. Which is fairplay. Rationale: most artists featured on this site have a photo. so i added a fair use image. Please refrain from vandalising further sites, as this causes problems for other users."

The image in question, Image:Kna.jpg, may be used only "for identification and critical commentary on the music video in question", as is clearly stated in the license text. Using it solely to depict the band is a violation of copyright. --Yamla 19:34, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
You have been blocked for 24 hours. Once again, Image:Kna.jpg, may be used only "for identification and critical commentary on the music video in question". --Yamla 13:38, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sonic booms

Unfortunately, that isn't an image of a sonic boom. It also exists elsewhere in the wikipedia.

See: [1]].

The nearest thing I've seen to a visible sonic boom is the land speed record car, but unfortunately we don't have the rights to that.- (User) WolfKeeper (Talk) 00:46, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
