[edit] Possible breach of WP:NPOV concerning Gameplay section
I think the "Gameplay" section could use a little work -- it seems to suffer frin weasel words. Reading that paragraph and the weasel words article I think kinda speaks for itself... --Yar Kramer 17:42, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] {{General CVG character}}
This article is currently a testbed for a unified computer/video game character infobox, {{General CVG character}}. It uses a series-specific subbox, {{Guilty Gear character}}.
Input on this infobox would be appreciated; note that the addition of things that would be obvious to readers unfamiliar with Guilty Gear (such as what series is involved) is intentional. - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 07:45, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- Um... what? Firstly, that template is nowhere in this article, secondly, this isn't Resident Evil. Digital Watches 23:43, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
- Teach me to not pay attention to what I'm doing. Is it a bit clearer what's going on now that I fixed my comment? - A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 02:26, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
- I like the new template. Very professional looking. Danny Lilithborne 02:29, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Terry Bogard?
I'm not going to remove it unless I can't find any support, but as someone who plays KoF/Garou: MOTW and Guilty Gear, I just don't see the similarity. Could someone spell it out for me? Digital Watches 21:33, 24 July 2006 (UTC)
- It's nonsense. I've never ever heard this before. Danny Lilithborne 00:20, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
Several of the moves are very similar, such as Terry's Power wave and Power Punch being similar to Sol's Machine Gun Burst and Fire Punch. What's more, in a reversal, In KoF 2k6 one of Terry's costumes is a nod to Sol.68.159.130.212 10:02, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
-
- Unless it's something blatant, it's original research to note anything like that. JuJube 10:09, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
It's really blatant, but I have no way of getting you proof since its actually in the game. Until I find a way to cite it like that, I'll leave it alone. 68.159.130.212 10:16, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, if Terry has a costume like Sol, you can note it in Terry's page. Probably not a good idea here, since the glut of fighting games has made moves pretty diluted and lacking trademarks. If Sol spinned upwards in the air with a kick, or shouted "Are you okay?" before his super, it would be blatant, but just similar movements doesn't cut it. JuJube 10:20, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
Sol has a decent number of similarities to Terry, no doubt. Country of origin, primary colour (that'd be red), a lot of similar moves by appearance, and Sol's headband even says "Rock You" right on it. I wouldn't say this deserves a section of its own or anything, but maybe a small trivia mention might be called for. Things of lesser importance of found their way into trivia sections before. TalonIH (talk) 16:32, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Holy Order Sol
I was wondering if sol using the fire sword (sorry forgot the name) to hide his true nature would be considerd a theory? ifso shouldent it be deleated?-- Lucky_hat
- That seems right. I'll see to that. -- Digital Watches 15:36, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- Holy-Order-Sol is "聖騎士団ソル[Seikishidan Soru]" in japanese. "聖[sei]" meen "holy","騎士[kishi]" meen "knight(s)" and "団" meen "organization(s)". --Lonchi**-en 06:57, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm not sure if I have the authority to edit the article, but unless there is a secret one I don't know about (because Accent Core does have some unlisted overdrives), Order Sol does not have any new overdrives in Accent Core. Could somebody change that? --Thomasditt
- The character offically appears as "Order-Sol" in the NA release of GG Accent Core. This chunk of the page could use some editing and general clean-up, as he is a fully seperate character as opposed to an "EX" version or something similar. Carbonchunk (talk) 21:45, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Trivia: The "guilty Gear"
Rather than tread into revert-war territory, I'll post this here.
"Narrator: 'Sol, the Guilty Gear, stared at his bloodstained hands and prayed...'"
That is direct from his ending in Guilty Gear. It's hard to post a link to the freaking CD-ROM, so what am I supposed to do to source it besides note that it's stated in the game? ShaleZero 20:15, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- Fair enough, that's pretty direct. I kept reverting you because personally, I saw there being a pretty good case for
JudgementJustice to being the "guilty gear". Also, That Man has a really vague quote that he says at the end of Slayer's 3rd path in GGXX: - That Man: "Atonement... things that can be made up for are not called crimes... Gears who have committed crimes..."
- Anyways, quote it like they do in the Final Fantasy X article for citations. And we'll move it out of the trivia section at a later date. --SeizureDog 20:27, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- Done. Also, I think you mean "Justice" there? ShaleZero 20:41, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- Uh, yeah. Damnit, why does there have to be two boss characters named so similarly? I was really tried when I typed that, but yes I meant Justice.--SeizureDog 14:18, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- Done. Also, I think you mean "Justice" there? ShaleZero 20:41, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fuuenken (Fireseal)
This article mentions Sol's sword, then mentions that it's called "Fuuenken" and then notes the translation of "Fireseal" three times. Is this really necessary? Can't we just call it "Fuuenken (Fireseal)" once and then just call it his sword? ~ WindOwl 06:14, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Order sol.PNG
Image:Order sol.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

You better not change this addition!I`m not making it up!Why don`t you go to www.guiltygear.ru before believing I`m made up this section of the article, and that I`m just causing trouble! You think that you are an excellent writer and that you are contributing to Wikipedia?Well You`re not! Most of the information I added in the articles are really based on information I found on the web!The gameplay sections I added were based on what most gamers I met on the web said!As for taking out the alternate stories section for Guile`s aricle, you`re doing nothing but stupidity! You think that those parts shouldn`t be added? Then why don`t you go to the Ryu(Street Fighter) article and take out the alternate stories sections?Huh?And one more thing. You don`t even know much about the Guilty Gear game series!I have been a long time fan,and I have been to various Guilty Gear websites! So don`t try to think that you know a lot of things about Guilty Gears, because you probably don`t even play that game series! And check out www.guiltygear,ru before editing this article!
- Your additions are 1. not relevant, 2. badly written, and 3. disruptive. You've been reported for vandalism... again. Expect a longer block this time. JuJube (talk) 23:25, 9 December 2007

You reported me for vadnalism!I didn`t even say any personal attacks to you,so shut up!And you still remove the Alternate story section! Why don`t you go to the site this guy is talking about before trying to thinks its made up information!Just go http://www.guiltygear.ru/ggworld.php?lang=en§=timeline before taking the alternate story section out and read the timeline. This website is a Guilty Gear-specialized site. Why isn`t any information about Sol`s weight and height added? These two info are part of a character`s data! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Warbringer47 (talk • contribs) 21:22, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Note from Guilty Gear Freak
Can you tell me why my picture of Sol Badguy in Guilty Gear 2 was deleted I see no reason why it had to be deleted sense it shows detail and update. This happened with the rest of my images I added for variouse Guilty Gear characters and they were deleted also. I don't see why it took you so long to update the pictures because the JPGs are on the same site you got them from(Guilty Gear RU).
So if you think they should be deleted please tell me on my talk or how or why they were deleted. I have no problem otherwise. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Guilty Gear Freak (talk • contribs) 19:25, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- According to the deletion log for Sol_2.jpg, it says "I9: Blatant copyright violation". Twice. —Yar Kramer (talk) 19:32, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Note From Guilty Gear Freak
Ok I see but why haven't you yourself added the images for these characters.I don't understand why Sol and Ky have their have their Accent Core images but not Overture images. And some Guilty Gear characters had no pictures so I added their pictures.I know why they were deleted but why haven't you posted them yourself.I just don't understand, although you get them from the same website you don't update them Guilty Gear Freak (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 23:56, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
