According to the chronicles of Sri Lanka, the Solosmasthana are 16 places hallowed by visits of the Buddha. These places are venerated daily by Buddhists of Sri Lanka by reciting the following stanza:

  4. Sri Pada
  5. Diva Guhava
  6. Dighavapi Raja Maha Vihara
  7. Muthiyangana Raja Maha Vihara
  8. Tissamaharama Raja MahaVihara
  9. Sri Maha Bodhiya
  10. Mirisawetiya Vihara
  11. Ruwanvelisaya
  12. Thuparama Vihara
  13. Abhayagiri Vihara
  14. Jetavanaramaya
  15. Sela Cetiya (Stupa) Mihintala Raja Maha Vihara
