Solferino, Mauritius

Solferino is a small village in the town of Vacoas-Phoenix, in Mauritius. Ideally located in the centre of the town it is an ideal place to live. It is famously known for its local produce and people rave about its vegetable production. Long considered as a slum after the country gained independence from the British in 1968, it now boasts as one of the finest places to live.
