Description

US NAVY (USN) Gunners Mates First Class (GM1) Ronnie Owens and Richard Ashley fire a 40mm saluting cannon in honor of the GOVERNOR of the State of Florida. The GOVERNOR was the keynote speaker during the commissioning ceremony for newest USN Arleigh Burke Class Guided Missile Destroyer, USS MOMSEN (DDG 92). The MOMSEN is named after USN Vice Admiral (VADM) Charles "Swede" Momsen, known for the development of the submarine escape breathing apparatus; the "Momsen Lung."
