Sojitra is a village in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is in the Anand district. It is situated at 22°33′N 72°43′E. its nearest villages are DABHOU 6 km away,GADA 4 km ,DEVATAJ 2km,LIMBALI 3 km , It is one of the best villages in India. The highest class throughout Gujrat amongst all the other "ghams"

Ancient documents and archaeological surveys of the famous Kund indicate that Sojitra was an ancient town. One popular tale states that Sojan Rabari settled in this town. The town was then named Sojanpur or Sojatypur, which was later changed to Sojitra, he liked the area and brought his family members to settle. The town was known as Soja, which was later called Sojitra.

In 1527 Surabhai Patel left Chapaner and moved to Adalaj and again in 1552 with one of his two sons, Virabhai Patel, to Devataj. At that time Sojitra was under Raval rulers. In 1575, Muzfarshah the Second, allotted the land of Sojitra to Jeshangbhai Patel, the son of Vitabhai Patel, for hereditary use. The land was distributed among seven inheritors, Harakjibhai, Sunderbhai, Bhuderbhai, Saudasbhai, Amabaidas, Pragdas, and Mahidas. The Patidars of the seven Khadkies were their descendents. Being an able administrator, Jeshangbhai Patel has provided shelter to people of different industries and a business town in Charotar. Bhilalbhai D. Patel (Bhaikaka), a pride of Sojitra, was an architect of [Vallabh Vidyanagar] and Vitthal Udyongnagar located between Karamsad and Anand. Ravajibhai Maganbhai Patel was the Secretary of the Gujarat Congress Committee. Ravajibhai Nathabhai Patel, a faithful follower of Gandhiji, sacrificed his life for public work. Dr. Bhaskarbhai Patel was the Deputy Minister of the State of Bombay. Gopalbhai Shivabhai Patel was the Chairman of the Unit Trust of India. Narsikaka was a great social revolutionist. Kamalaben Maganbhai Patel, a social worker, was the Deputy Minister of the State of Gujarat. Dr. Thakorbhai Patel was the Mayor of Baroda, as well as the Cabinet Minister of the State of Gujarat. Chaturbhai Shankerbhai Patel was the Vice Chancellor of the M.S. University of Baroda. Kantibhai Baldevbhai Patel was a renowned sculptor. Chimanbhai, son of Bhaikaka, was the chief engineer of the Public Works Department of the Government of India. After his retirement, Chimanbhai became the Chairman of Charotar Gramudhar Shakari Mandal and also, the Chairman of Sojitra Kalvani Mandal, now his eldest son Vikram Patel is Chairman of Charotar Gramudhar Shakari Mandal, younger son Sarvadamn Patel is a pioneer in organic farming, he has beeen bestowed with "Best Farmer" award of Gujarat. Jashbhai Jivabhai Patel was the controller of Iron & Steel for the State of Bombay. He was instrumental in providing cement and steel to Bhaikaka for establishment of Vallabh Vidyanagar. Sojitra has social, religious, and educational institutes. The most noteworthy among them is the M.M. High School and Library. During Gayakvad’s regime, Baroda was the first town and Sojitra was the second to have a high school and a library in both Kaira and Baroda district which includes Charotar as a whole.
