[edit] Natural indicators

Hydrangea indicates soil pH with pink or blue flower color changes. What natural indicators are there for what soil parameters? Are there any natural indicators for lead? The cost and hassle of lab soil testing is an impediment to awareness of actual distribution of urban contamination. -69.87.199.38 (talk) 18:38, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
