As of 2001 India census[2], Sohna had a population of 27,571. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Sohna has an average literacy rate of 63%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 70%, and female literacy is 54%. In Sohna, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Sohna is also famous for its hotsprings.It is said that Arjun( Pandav's) dig the well when he was thirsty. It is said that skin deseases are cured if you take a dip in these hotsprings.
