SoHo Cast Iron Historic District is a historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and declared a National Historic Landmark in 1978.[1] It consists of 26 blocks and approximately 500 buildings.[3]

The boundaries are approximately rectangular: West Broadway on the west, West Houston on the north, Crosby Street on the east, and Canal Street on the south. But there is a notch taken out of the lower right-hand corner: at the southeast corner, Crosby Street does not meet Canal Street, and the border runs from Canal Street north along Broadway and east along Howard Street to Crosby. A detailed map of the New York City's district of the same name, designated August 14, 1973 shows these boundaries.[4]
