Talk:Sofcrosse
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Im doing sofcrosse at school. I think it is better than lacrosse as it is safer. It is not a sport that everyone enjoys, infact, most people in my class dont like it. But it is a good sport. It can be fun if you put in some effort. Unforchanetly, some people in my class fail to do so, but most do, which is good. Even if you dont like the sport, it is possible to have some fun playing it.
[edit] South Australian Softcrosse
In SA the use of plastic scoops and larger plastic balls has been eclipsed by the use of standard lacrosse sticks (mainly men's) and a sponge lacrosse ball. I believe this to be the case in other states? Any ideas? Ozdaren 04:33, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
- I think though that this version of the game with the standard lacrosse sticks, though with the same rules, is being called "modcrosse", and played at club level. Sofcrosse is still prevalent in school PE classes, most of which still have a stash of sofcrosse equipment in their storage rooms! Lukeoz 10:40, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

- Hmm... Just going on what has happened in SA with the clinics run by or under the auspices of Lacrosse SA. Most schools have been encouraged to buy proper lacrosse sticks. The annual softcrosse carnival for primary schools has fewer and fewer schools play with the plastic scoops. Interesting all the same. Ozdaren 11:20, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
